Solidarity Leader Was Awarded Fridtjof Nansen Medal

The leader of Solidarity Movement Sargis Avetisyan was awarded the great humanitarian, Peace and Solidarity Nobel laureate Fridtjof Nansen gold medal. The medal was awarded by the Armenian F. Nansen Fund for public, political activities, for establishing humanitarian principles, and for the activities aiming the condemnation of the Genocide. On receiving the medal S. Yegern or Genocide?

On April 20th in the central office of Solidarity Movement a discussion concerning the current course of Armenia-Turkey relations was held. Representatives from NGOs, who were members of the Movement, participated in the discussion. Solidarity Movement Coordinator Sargis Avetisyan stressed the importance of the balanced foreign policy of President Obama's administration, underlining the productive activities of its diplomatic representatives in our country. A Letter to the Head of the White House

The Solidarity Movement joins all those progressive people who appeal to the USA authorities to condemn the apostastatical policy adopted by the organizers of the 20th century first biggest crime against humanity: Armenian Genocide. IDEOLOGY

Solidarity is the simplest and at the same time the most complicated form of human coexistence. Beginning with the second half of the 19th century till the 20th century three big ideologies were shaped: liberalism, socialism and solidarity. The first two were widely spread in 20th century. In the 21st century solidarism or solidarity will dominate. We saw the collapse of the socialism, we are witnessing the end of liberalism and we foresee the victory of solidarity.

Human global problems won’t be solved without realizing solidarity worldwide. In solidarity there is no class struggle, no struggle between people, because there exists common interest, there is no meaningless fighting between states, because there exists one aim - reach worldwide solidarity to save The Planet.

Solidarism excludes extremes of unlimited liberalism (individualism) and dictatorship of socialism. Solidarity is the closest and the most understandable phenomenon of human psychology.

It doesn't impose any obligations which are unacceptable. It doesn't sacrifice individual’s interests to the common interests. The concord of the interests of opposite sides is gained either through the expression of peoples' will or the state acts as intermediary. The state in its turn regulates the public relations on the basis of rights which are originated from the public solidarity. That's why it stands above the state and is an obligatory norm. Legal regulations originated spontaneously, law makers only fix them and not create. The regulated right on the one hand encourages the human private right and on the other hand restricts it for the benefit of public economy whose participants' activities and interests must be based on mutual accord.

Let’s remember that our nation has existed due to love and solidarity in our families. Solidarity in the country is as necessary as love in the family.

In solidarity the mind becomes clearer, fruitless struggle comes to its end and creative work becomes leading. We are sure that due to hard work and people’s efforts holding the same opinion we'll gain the victory of solidarity victory.
